RNCM Saxophone Day
Established in 2001, by Rob and Andy Scott, the RNCM Saxophone Day is now the largest annual Saxophone event in the UK.
Special guest artists over the years have included Bob Mintzer, Chris Potter, Tim Garland and the Lighthouse Trio, Snake Davis, Andy Sheppard, Simon Willescroft, Sax Assault, Claude Delangle, Vincent David, Otis Murphy, Habanera Saxophone Quartet, Apollo Saxophone Quartet, Equivox Trio, Andy Scott/Adam Caird Duo, Carl Raven Experimental Trio, National Saxophone Choir of Great Britain, RNCM Saxophone Orchestra.
The day features a wide variety of events, ranging from the now famous Massed Saxophone Orchestra - up to 250 saxophones all playing specially composed and arranged repertoire - to technique and repertoire sessions, sax assault workshops, jazz and improvisation sessions, just about anything you could want to know about the saxophone, all with the UK’s largest saxophone trade exhibition.
